Purge yourself of negativity and learn to absorb positive energy from the natural world around you.
Connect with Your True Nature
Alaska is undoubtedly one of the last pristine landscapes on this planet. Being in the midst of such a place reminds us that there is more to this earth than human life; that we are but a small part of an enormous ecosystem of life. This retreat provides a chance for you to step away from the hectic stresses of your daily life and to reconnect with your spiritual essence. Delve into shamanic practice and find a renewed sense of inner peace and natural calm.
“We pray to the four directions, to the ocean, to the sun, to the fire, to the eagle… and we pray to what we call the ancient ones in order that they hear our prayers and will hopefully respond to our prayers. We pray out loud… It’s very beautiful, like a symphony.”
– Brant Secunda
Join us for an unforgettable experience that can help inspire you. Walk on the path of shamanism for these special days and discover your true nature as a human being, as a sacred being connected to all of creation.
Shamanism seeks to tap into the life force inherent to nature. Take this time to reconnect with the beauty, power and healing energy Mother Earth has to offer. Find peace of mind and tranquility of spirit through ritual, ceremony and daily practice.
We’ve all seen the beauty of Alaskan wildlife on television and in magazines, but experiencing a personal connection with the soaring bald eagles and singing whales of this land is indescribable. Sitting in our lodge, watching the eagles fly about or floating along the inside passage with whales breaching all around you is awe inspiring. Listen to the songs of the whales echoing from the sea as you drift to sleep. Awaken to the cries of the eagle, as the dawn brings a new day.
The retreat is located outside Juneau, Alaska, considered to be one of the most pristine landscapes in the world. Nestled along the Inside Passage and snow-capped peaks, this region is actually considered a rain forest. The lush forests, such as the Tongass National Forest, are filled with rivers, lakes, and waterfalls. Various mosses provide a soft foundation for blueberries and salmon berries; both delicious treats that are bountiful during the summer months.
An integral landmark of this region, the Mendenhall Glacier contains exquisite blue ice, thousands of years old. It branches from the Juneau Icefield, the 5th largest ice field in the western hemisphere (1,500 square miles or 3,900 square kilometers) and is currently receding, so hurry up and visit before it disappears forever.
Join in community with like-minded people. This retreat is not only a chance to experience something unforgettable but also to share that experience with a community of like-minded individuals.
The shamanic circle is full of diverse people, young and old. Families return year after year to celebrate life together in nature.
Spiritual practices in nature and ceremonial celebrations bring the community together, unifying the circle with all of creation.
“Alaska is a land of such abundance and beauty, and the setting of this wilderness lodge on the Inside Passage is incomparable. Imagine the power of seeing bald eagles every day, of participating in ceremonies while whales frolic nearby, and of taking in the power of spectacular sunsets.”
