Purge yourself of negativity and learn to absorb positive energy from the natural world around you.
Learning & Living Shamanism
During this 5-day retreat, you will learn ancient shamanic practices of personal and planetary healing. You will experience the tranquility of nature and the power of Mt. Shasta.
Through various daily practices, you will cleanse both body and mind, gaining clarity and peace of mind in all that you do. Whether you are taking your first step on the shamanic path or continuing your journey, this retreat enables you to “live what you ask for” – to create a template for everyday life, which can enable you to sustain your practice and achieve your goals.
By joining in community, each of us shares the retreat experience, thus learning not only from our own participation but from the experiences of each person in the circle.
Brant Secunda has been returning to this sacred place of power year after year for over three decades. There is always something more to learn, something deeper to grasp and something new to experience.
Learn how to approach sacred places of power in the traditional Huichol way. Receive the blessings and power of Mt. Shasta through Brant’s transmission and find the answers to your prayers.
Pilgrimage is an opportunity for you to ask for something, to create positive affirmations for your life and the lives of your loved ones.
The ancient practice of pilgrimage allows us to deepen our connection with nature and tap into the energy of the land.
This retreat is an opportunity to receive shamanic healing from Brant Secunda and from the Healing Mountain, Mt. Shasta.
During the retreat, you will receive blessings simply from taking part in the daily shamanic rituals and special pilgrimage.
Additionally, it is possible to arrange for individual healing treatments.
Mount Shasta is part of the Cascade Range and rises to 14,162 feet (4,317 m). The mountain has been revered as one of the most sacred places of power by numerous native tribes for thousands of years.
We are very fortunate to gather in the exact meadow where the Shasta Indians spent their summers. This sacred place has been used for ceremonies for countless generations. Today, we continue to honor the spirit of the mountain through ceremony, pilgrimage, and sacred practices.
Embrace the light of the summer season during this 5-day retreat. There is no better place to be than nature in order to reconnect with the elemental powers.
Learn to tap into the power emanating from the light of the sun and love of Mother Earth. Breathe in the breath of life and reinvigorate your spirit.
Details & Logistics
“The summer gathering in Mt. Shasta is an incredible experience! I could feel the excitement and anticipation in the air as the other attendees arrived, checked in and claimed their spot to set up their tent. The open fire stove made the food even more delicious, and the large group felt powerful with a great purpose and meaning for gathering. The newcomers were intrigued by Huichol Shamanism, and even the kids enjoyed all of the ceremonies and traditional teachings. Mt. Shasta felt like home for those few days and I can’t wait to return next year!”
“Each Summer, our group heads to the beautiful mountain ranges of Mt. Shasta, in California. As I drive toward the place where we will meet, I always catch a glimpse of this sacred mountain as we go around the bend in the road. A smile instantly forms within my heart and upon my face as I remember all the blessings I have received at this special place… I have been truly blessed to have Brant in my life as well as this special, sacred, tradition. It has changed my life in ways that I never thought were possible. I am truly grateful for all the blessings I have received.”
“Mt. Shasta is a majestic mountain and each year that I return my heart is filled with joy and the beauty of nature. I am so thankful for Brant’s teachings and the amazing opportunity he facilitates to connect to the power of nature at Mt. Shasta. The ceremonies in the sacred meadow are awe-inspiring and transforming. My son has been going to Mt. Shasta since he was born and it is so beautiful to see his spirit charged with the power of the mountain. The blessings from our time at Mt. Shasta stay in my heart all year long and I always look forward to returning.”
“’Thank you’ seems an incomplete way to say just how grateful I am for the privilege of sitting at your fire, receiving many blessings, climbing the healer’s mountain and doing it under the powerful and love-filled container you both [Brant and Nico] provide. Brant’s abilities are transcendent. The way [he says] “good” is resonant. Nico’s smile is a gift of Grandfather sun.”
